This website will eventually say this and a lot more, but, briefly, I have been writing books for more than thirty years.

Most of my novels, plays, stories, poetry, and even some of my music, is based on dreams – yes, I literally dreamed them up during the night. As a result, I have about a dozen novels, two full-length plays, books of stories, poetry, essays, and dreams all ready for publication. I’ve not published a lot, wanting to focus more on top-quality writing than the business of publishing, but I have published two nonfiction books, portions of novels, and a slew of stories and poems.

My plays have been produced onstage on both coasts and won awards.

Some of my songs are on YouTube, and eventually I will be putting a CD of original music out. I was born in the Thousand Islands.

I have a daughter and a son, and am engaged to be married to a wonderful woman.

I am an ordained Christian clergyperson. Additionally, I have taken precepts as a Chogye Zen Buddhist, have taken vows as a Sufi Muslim and a Reform Jew, and practice the Native American spiritual tradition. I speak several languages fluently, and play several musical instruments besides singing.

I am an ardent fan of the Beatles (and their post-Beatles work), the Kinks, Merrie Amsterberg, Biff Rose, Uriah Heep, and many others I can’t think of at the moment. I am a serious Red Sox fan.

I am a well-known spokesperson for the national campaign against casino gambling. I have been on network TV and radio. Additionally, I have done several book tours for my currently published book Circle of Life (www.clearlightbooks.com/circleoflife).
